Cranberry Island Boat Yard is a small, full-service boatyard located on Great Cranberry Island, accessible from Northeast and Southwest Harbors on Mount Desert Island. We provide comprehensive maintenance, restoration and repair services, indoor and outdoor storage, and build the Western Way 19 launch and Western Way 10 rowing and sailing dinghy. Our sheds have earthen floors and are ideal for storing wooden boats. Located in “The Pool,” a protected bay at the heart of the island, our marine railway, anchorage, and year-round dock are well-protected and accessible from mid- to high-tide. The Western Way 10 is a classic yacht tender that rows and tows superbly, available in both rowing and sailing models. The Western Way 19 is an exceptionally seaworthy boat, with traditional Downeast styling in the tradition of such famed builders as Chester Clements and Raymond Bunker. Modern seaworthy underbodies and innovative bottom lines make her exceptional in rough weather and give her the ability to perform as an all weather fast commuter. The Western Way 19 is available in several configurations including bass boat, lobster yacht, open launch, and classic launch.
